Promotion and Implementation of IPv6 Services
Although over 50% of Brazilian homes and businesses already use the IPv6 protocol, there is still a significant lack of native services that leverage the security, scalability, and efficiency benefits this standard offers. As an enthusiast and administrator, I use my infrastructure to bridge this gap, demonstrating IPv6 as the state of the art in digital connectivity.
Proof of Concepts and Proprietary Infrastructure
Through my ASN (AS209338), where I operate a /48 IPv6 block, with exclusive operation and applying balanced upstream policies, I implement practical applications that fully validate the protocol's viability:
- Total Availability: 100% of my Homelab services are offered natively over IPv6.
- Legacy Systems: I demonstrate that, with proper configuration, it is possible to integrate classic technologies into a modern network. My BBS, operating in dual-stack, is living proof of the functional coexistence between legacy systems and the future.
Knowledge Dissemination and Engagement
My work extends beyond laboratory practice, focusing on educating the technical community through lectures and events:
- Academic Participation: Frequent contributor at events like BSDDay (organized by Prof. Nilton Rizzo at UFRRJ), where I present topics related to IPv6 implementation on BSD systems.
- Purpose: To bring direct debate about the new protocol, encouraging administrators to abandon exclusive reliance on IPv4 and adopt more resilient solutions.
Peering and Interconnection (BGP)
I am open to peering via BGP and exchanging experiences to continually evolve the IPv6-based network ecosystem. I accept direct connections via BGP and am present at the BGP.Exchange and Route64 IXs.
